Teaching is my Passion, and I am equally passionate with my students. My interactions with my dear students in those eleven years as a Lecturer for Information Technology in Banglore, Mumbai and UAE (My books on Software Engineering is followed by many in Mumbai University) made me understand about the young generation, their likes and taste. However, a chance experience of scouting for a Kerala Bell metal mirror (Aranmulla Kannadi) in Mumbai pulled me out of a lucrative cozy college job to start my own enterprise in the field where my interest lies. Also, I recognized that these experiences in leading premier educational institutions provided me the required exposure into the various aspects of business activities. At rareitis, I personally look into the quality of the products and ensure they qualify the claims the Seller makes. Wish, online platform allows me to be a sales person….how I could explain my beautiful products to my customers.
Enough is never enough? 30 years of marketing and advertising journey, having helmed affairs at ITC, Mudra, Club FM in various capacities of General Manager to CEO, and later a successful entrepreneurial pursuit, my own Creative agency Hammer, established in 2008. The answer was rareitis. I take pride in being the senior member of the team and involved in shaping rareitis creatively and share my experience with the team in all aspects of website design & creativity, brand building, positioning, marketing, product innovation and expansion. You can call me the Big Brother of the team.
For me it was never a difficult decision to choose between rareitis and my corporate job. A mechanical engineer and IIMC alumnus, the passion to create my own story had always unsettled me. Organizational development is my forte and I settle with that in rareitis. My team thrive in providing our customers an unmatched buying experience, zero wait and complete product delight. Day dreaming is what I do…and I am best at that, and mind you, it helps me to take rareitis to greater heights.

If I am asked to bring gold, I might end up bringing a gold mine. That’s my inherent defect,… I don’t settle for the second best. No wonder, I am entrusted to scout for the manufacturers of original Indian Handlooms and artifacts. Wish,…You should also know the pain I and my team takes in travelling to all the remote areas of our great and vast nation where the true treasure is kept hidden. Jokes apart, It pains to see how these unsung heroes (read Indian weavers and artisans), the hands which work on these traditional marvels live a life of oblivion settling for much less than their worth. I am sure, you understand the ethos of our website and our endeavor to bring these people to the mainstream.
